The central Florida communities of Kissimmee, Davenport, Clermont, and Orlando boast a vast number of first-rate golf courses. In fact, Orlando itself is home to nearly 90 public golf courses and a host of private courses. Ten miles from the middle of Naples, the Hammock Bay Golf Course at Hammock Bay is well known for its exceptional assortment of holes and excellent turf. The rates in the busy season can be rather expensive, but it is relatively affordable in the off-season.

Finally, the Lely Resort Golf and Country Club is located just southeast of Naples and has been in operation since 1991. The course is part of a full resort which offers 2 other championship courses, 3 resort style pools, 7 tennis courts, a spa and fitness center, 4 clubhouses, and 12 neighborhoods. The course is open to the public and features 7,217 yards of golf and a par of 72 . Centrally located bed breakfasts are conveniently close to the golf courses as well as the beach.
