You Will Find A Big Choice Of Cheap Golf Accessories Online

9:32 am January 24, 2010

As golf equipment is quite expensive, it is no wonder that golfers are looking for cheap golf accessories. After spending a small fortune on a complete set of clubs and some golf balls, you will probably want to spend a minimum on golf accessories.

If you are a seasoned golfer, you probably have all the golf equipment that you need but there are always some new golf accessories that you want. For the beginner that is just starting out and has already bought their golf clubs and balls, it can be quite daunting when they realize that there are several items of golf accessories that they need to buy.

The best thing you can do is look for cheap golf accessories online. The online golf stores generally have a very large choice of golf accessories and they can offer them at lower prices because they don’t have the same expenses as the off line golf stores. The first thing that you have to take into consideration is what golf accessories you need to get started.

When talking about golf accessories, it is usually all the golf equipment apart from the golf clubs, shoes, and balls. When looking at online golf stores, you may find that they have individual categories for golf apparel and golf bags, but other golf stores will group them together with the other accessories.

Normally, when you buy a full set of golf clubs, you will get a golf bag and maybe golf balls included in the package. If not, the first major accessory that will be on your shopping list will be a golf bag. Most online golf stores will present you with a big selection of golf bags but you must decide first of all what type of golf bag is for you.

Golf bag types include the carry golf bag and the stand golf bag – both bags are designed to be carried on your shoulder with the difference being that the stand bag has a fold out stand to stand it upright that keeps the bag from getting dirty or wet. Another type is the cart bag which has the benefit that it is somewhat larger and can so fit more gear inside – they are made to be put on a push cart or an electric cart. Lastly, there are staff or tour golf bags which are considerably much larger and heavier but are normally only carried by caddies for the touring pros.

If you decide on a cart bag, you will need a golf cart. If you are fit and enjoy walking the course, I don’t think you will need an electric cart which is a lot more expensive and you have the added chore of making sure the battery is fully charged before a round of golf. Your best bet for the price, is a push cart which you push along in front of you. The modern push carts are very light, sturdy, maneuverable, and fold up very small.

That only leaves you with a few items of small cheap golf accessories – a golf glove, golf tees, a divot tool, and golf ball markers. All these golf accessories can be found easily at online golf stores cheaply. If you play your golf in Northern climates, then you will probably need a golf umbrella and a golf towel as you can never guarantee the weather.

Lastly, when first starting to play golf it isn’t necessary to splash out on fancy golf apparel; you can use any comfortable clothes but you must obey the rules of dress code at your golf course. By searching for cheap golf accessories online, you can save some money for a few extra rounds of golf.

Golf Rain Gear That Is Essential To The Serious Golfer

12:07 pm January 17, 2010

If you have been playing golf for years, then you know how often you can suddenly need some rain gear. As much as every golfer hopes for a sunny day on the course, there are days when it rains anyway. An experienced golfer will always come prepared to play whether it’s raining or just plain cold. When those unexpected weather changes occur, it’s absolutely vital to have the rain gear you’ll need.

Rain gear actually refers to a wide variety of pieces. The golf clothing that is manufactured these days is developed with the goal of keeping the golfer dry by covering essentially anything. You may find that a few of the pieces aren’t required, but others should become a part of your primary golf equipment, and kept handy at all times.

1. Rain Suit – The basic rain suit will have some type of top, and pants. These suits can be chosen by types of designs, or styles, and created from a variety of materials. The suits that are lined with a cloth material are considered the most desirable. These are a bit on the high-end of prices, but they can be used as a rain suit, or a much needed wind breaker if the temperatures start to drop.

2. Rain Jacket – Rain jackets can be purchased by themselves, and will probably be the piece of rain gear you’ll use most often. It’s not only easy to put on and take off, it also can double as a wind breaker or actual piece of clothing to keep your body dry when the rain really begins to get heavy.

3. Rain gloves-Rain gloves are a popular item among golfers. Assuring an effective grip in the rain is easy to do with these gloves specifically created for this purpose.

4. Golf bag rain cover – Unless you don’t choose to use an umbrella as a shield over your bag and clubs, a bag cover is not an expensive purchase and will at least keep your clubs and bag dry when rain is falling.

We could go on about all the other pieces available, but this article at least the four that are the most important to any regular golfer. If you are currently without any of the ones mentioned, put the more important ones on your shopping, or wish, list so you can purchase them as soon as possible.

In addition to writing about golf rain gear, Eliza has also written about ponchos. Check out her sites at golfraingear.net">golf rain gear or Harley Davidson rain gear.

Golf Gifts – Unique, Unusual Or Practical

1:03 pm January 15, 2010

Are you struggling to come up with good golf gift ideas? It is not that hard to come up with some great ideas for golfers as there are so many options. Just think about the golfer and what they would like to receive – you can tell a lot from their personality and tastes. To get you started, here are four of my favorite ideas for golfing gifts.

Golf Gifts That Are Practical

The best golf gifts that you can buy are practical ones. All you have to do is check to see which brand and type of golf balls the golfer uses. You could then either buy a dozen of those golf balls or maybe even buy some more expensive ones. Just make sure that you find out what golf ball specifications the golfer prefers – distance, medium feel, high spin, etc.

A different idea for choosing practical golf gifts is to buy brand name replacement head-covers. If the golfer uses Adams golf clubs, for example, and the head-covers are scuffed and worn or mismatched, then you could buy some Adams replacement head-covers.

Personalized Golf Gifts

As an unique golf gift you can’t beat personalized golf gifts. There are several options of personalized golf equipment or accessories. Probably the most popular are personalized golf balls, where you can have up to three lines of text imprinted on the golf balls of your choice.

Other items of personalized golf accessories are monogrammed golf shirts, golf caps, and golf towels. You can also get personalized golf bags with two lines of text from the likes of Nike and Callaway Golf.

Golf Memorabilia

Maybe you are searching for an unusual golf gift; then you can’t go wrong with golf memorabilia. You will have to make certain that the item is certified and authentic golf memorabilia. Check for a guarantee and that every autographed product comes with a certificate of authenticity (COA). You will surely find that unusual golf gift you were searching for and something that any golfer would be delighted to receive.

A Corporate Golf Gift

Most business persons that own their company and are also golfers have probably made some business on the golf course. Or, maybe you work for a company that needs to supply corporate golf gifts for clients. In either case, your best option is to order some custom logo golf gifts. Custom logo golf products are a fantastic way to endorse your company. Again, the most popular are custom logo golf balls which can even be ordered with their own custom logo packaging.

So, there you have my top 4 golf & gifts ideas. You should be able to find the perfect golf gift from these ideas – whether it is for a friend, a loved one, or a business associate.

Finding Used Golf Clubs At Bargain Prices

5:57 am November 7, 2009

Like any sport, golf comes with its own specialized equipment, the most important of which are the golf clubs. A serious player of the game is going to want to own their own set of clubs. However, if you’re a new player, just beginning to learn the game, you won’t want to spend a large amount of money for a full set of clubs just yet. It is definitely important that you purchase your own clubs, both for practice and to improve your technique. Before you invest in a full set of golf clubs, which can be quite an investment indeed, you may want to avoid buying expensive clubs since at this point you only need to use them for learning and practice.

The technology of the game is ever-changing and ever-improving, and as such, many experienced professional golfers will dispose of older, less technologically advanced clubs in lieu of newer models which will help them improve their game. Their insistence upon having the best and the latest gear can be an advantage to you, as it leaves many quality and unused sets of golf clubs without a home, going to waste. Some companies catering to the sport have even created services to sell, at a discount, previously owned golf clubs.

Not surprisingly, the optimum place to go looking for a bargain on pre-owned clubs is online. Using your computer, you can search for any type of club you desire. Price comparison, which is very important since costs can vary wildly from site to site, is simple to do over the Internet. It’s also easy to find reviews, examine photos, and locate all of the other information necessary to help you decide which clubs best suit your needs. And don’t forget to check out auction sites, including eBay, which may offer the best deal you’ll be able to find.

After you search through the internet, you may also want to look through your local newspaper or publication for any classified ads on pre-owned single golf clubs. Upon doing this, you can contact the person that is selling the clubs and ask if you can check out the condition of the club and do a few practice swings on it to see how it works. This will help you get a feel for the clubs before you buy them. Often times, people may try to offer you something that is really not worth the money, regardless of how cheap it is. This is a reason why it is important to try your golf clubs before you buy them.

Neighborhood golf stores and sporting goods stores are another excellent place to shop for a “Pre-Owned” set of golf clubs. Many of these stores are now accepting trade-ins, to offset the purchasing price of a new set of golf clubs, and re-sale the used single golf clubs at a decent price. Some of these shops even have an inside tee … net so that you can practice your golf swing with the clubs before you purchase them. You should also check out your nearest driving range or pro shop because many of them also carry pre-owned golf sets.

And don’t forget to check with your friends, co-workers and relatives to see if they have any old clubs they’d be willing to part with. You may be able to get a great deal, or even a free club, from a close contact!

Do you need some golfclubs.com">single golf clubs in order to practice your swing? Then you should check out the resource above.

The Golf Gear You Can’t Live Without

8:14 am September 24, 2009
by Tim Sanders

So you have finally bought that brand new spanking set of golf clubs. You are raring to go out to the course and strut your stuff. But wait, aren’t we forgetting something? That’s right; you need something to fit your golf clubs in! Now you are not going to hand carry all your golf clubs around the course are you?

There are a many different types of golf travel cases you can choose from when it comes to fitting your golf clubs in. Choosing the right one for you is important because buying a golf bag that is not right for your golf gear could mean possible damage to it if you can’t them in. Or it might get knocked around easily. So what kind of golf bags should you look for to ensure that this doesn’t happen?

First off, there are a huge variety of brands you can choose from when it comes to golf travel cases. If you have the budget and are carrying expensive golf gear, then you definitely want to invest in something that has lots of room space and especially sturdy. Most golf-stores would have these in stock and you can ask the salesperson for a hard-sided golf travel case. These golf bags pack plenty of space and can hold up against rough handling (don’t go out of your way to test that though!). Even in airports where your luggage may be thrown about pretty roughly, it can still take quite a beating.

For those of you who are just casual golfers and have the standard golf clubs set, then investing in something less expensive would make sense. You don’t need a hardcore super expensive golf travel case, but something that holds enough space for all your golf clubs and accessories (this is an important point most golfers gloss over). The soft-sided golf travel cases will work just fine. Take note though, they are not as resilient when it comes to standing up against hard knocks. So be extra careful when carrying your golf bag around.

So there you have it, some quick tips and information you can use the next time you are out shopping for golf travel cases. Remember that there is no one golf bag that will meet every golfers needs. Assess your requirements and then select the most suitable golf bag for yourself.

What To Look For When Buying Sunglasses For Golf

6:02 am July 11, 2009
by Carrie Westengate

Perhaps you find it difficult to see the ball when playing golf in bright light conditions despite wearing your usual sunglasses? Then it is time to improve your visual acuity and your game by investing in specialist sunglasses for golf.

You may have spent a lot of time and money improving your game only to find when playing against someone else who perhaps have better vision than you, that you are at a disadvantage. Vision, like a lot of other things in life can differ greatly between individuals. While some can play with confidence in strong lights and don’t seem affected, others may.

This is where you should consider purchasing a pair of specialist sunglasses for golf that have been developed with the sport in mind. Unfortunately, all sports tend to need sunglasses that have been specifically designed for that particular sport. For example, for mountaineering and other altitude sports one needs to consider the exceptionally bright conditions as well as the high altitudes. Altitude sports require a category 4 lens that takes these conditions into account. Glasses or goggles required for water sports such a surfing or kayaking etc., should be shatter-proof and fog resistant, have a nose cushion, be buoyant and have a means of fixing securely such as a strap.

There are a few ranges of suitable sunglasses for golf to be found, but some of these are not that exciting and you may need to search a little more for modern more stylish designs. So what should you look out for?

Number one as always is 100% UV protection. Don’t go for sunglasses with very small lenses as you will find the sun will still distract you via your peripheral vision. Wider lenses, ideally wrap-a-rounds with a one-piece lens would be appropriate. As for colour, while many golfers go for brown lenses, these can cause colour distortion. Try yellow/amber lenses as this colour will enhance contrast and depth perception. For golf, a lot of people go for polarised lenses which are usually fine, but, you may find that you don’t see all the undulations in the landscape, more particularly where there is water involved. Of course this may cause the ball to end up somewhere other than where you planned!

Prices vary considerably, but you may be lucky and get a good deal through your golf club. However, as a general rule-of-thumb, 50 plus should get you a good pair. Take your time to look around for a good stylish pair of sunglasses for golf and improve your game simply by allowing you to see the ball better!

Have You Seen Womens Golf Shoes With The Green Spikes?

3:33 am July 10, 2009
by Noah Winterbottom

Women who play golf on a regular basis appreciate the significance of selecting the right golf shoe. Generally women still would like a shoe that is attractive. Finding what is appropriate for your particular feet may possibly require a bit of time and patience. There are particular essential things to think about when its time to get your first pair of womens golf shoes.

The first thing to investigate is the quality of the shoe. Always opt for a shoe that is well made so that it will add to your comfort and pleasure as you play. A golf shoe ought to be heavier and less bendable than an normal shoe. Inspect the arch and insole to confirm the shoe will provide the support and cushioning you require on the course. A well-constructed shoe will give you a sense of stability and sense of balance and can really have some bearing on how well you play.

When you are purchasing a pair of womens golf shoes, try them on. Ensure they are roomy enough to be able to move your toes. The arch of your foot ought to feel supported and the heel and ball of your foot should feel cushioned. Walk around and check they feel snug and you feel that your feet are firmly planted when you place them in a swing stance. You might even want to take an empty handed swing to see how the shoes feel in motion.

Womens golf shoes, like mens come with spikes to grip the ground and prevent your feet from slipping out of place as you swing. The more costly shoes are made so that the spikes can be replaced if they are broken. Spikes were originally made of metal but they are now more frequently made of a synthetic material. Some golf courses are even requiring the use of this type of spike to prevent damage to the green.

Purchase a golf shoe that is waterproof. Most of them are, but double check to make certain. If you have played golf at all you know how often the course is wet with dew or the remnants of a rain shower. It is no fun playing with wet feet!

Womens golf shoes come in a variety of prices. If you can find the money to spend a little more you will be able to purchase a better quality shoe and a better shoe may provide you just that something extra to bring your game up to a higher level. Prices vary from approximately $75 to $200 and up for a top of the line shoes.

When you are shopping for a pair of new golf shoes, try on several pairs in several different brands so that you can get a feel for some of the differences. Each product has its own unique qualities and features. Some will suit you, some wont.

New Balance makes comparatively economical womens golf shoes. They range in price from $70 to $115. They are made of genuine leather, are waterproof and will provide the structure and support to provide maximum shock absorption.

Etonic womens golf shoes are more pricey. Having all the features of the New Balance shoe they have the further advantage of being constructed with what Etonic calls Stabilizer Technology. They have designed their shoes to provide a firm, stable foundation for the foot. Most importantly the shoe is also very bendable. The heels are flared giving a broader support for more stability. The cleats have an anti-clog design and are replaceable.

There are countless additional brands to consider. Each will offer a somewhat different look, feel and fit. Pick your golf shoes for comfort, stability and a look and style you will like.
